Holiday Writing
People size each-other up as soon as they get there. I was sitting in the splits; warming up. I was subtly looking around, and already people were studying at other people.
“Lukas, I have to go now. Tunic making class starts soon, I have to catch a train, and don’t forget, I have to orientate myself with Melbourne,” my mother had exclaimed. “I’ll see you at 3:30pm”.
“Bye!” I had replied.
There was another long six hour day of intensive classical ballet, contemporary, character, jazz and stretching ahead of me. The highlight of my day was going to be my audition; which was going to start any minute. I was incredibly nervous. I was auditioning for The Australian Ballet School’s International/Interstate Training Programme. As Mr. Konstantinov and Mrs. Konstantinova entered the studio, I felt a shiver of nerves down my spine...
