'Taste Writing'

What is your favourite food? Why do you like it? Is it the taste, texture, smell, colour etc. ? Your tongue helps you taste, but is that all? Lots of children seem to be picky eaters , partly because they have more taste buds than adults, which makes them more sensitive to taste. Younger children especially are sensitive to sweet tastes. Taste receptor cells work hard, therefore they get replaced about once a week. As we get older, it takes longer to replace the cells, which is why many older people can’t taste as well as kids and younger people. Smoking kills some of your taste buds, so does hot liquids i.e coffee or tea. Flavour is not the only thing that helps you decide if you like food or not. Your tongue has a big part in tasting as well. For example: It picks up the temperature It checks flavour, texture & type.

  1. This is very well written with lots of detail and facts. You now need to organise your work into different paragraphs to make it easier to read. Your work needs a conclusion, a final paragraph that restates what ideas you have been sharing with your reader.
